Mumford and Sons Longitude 2017 Gentlemen of the Road takeover

Event description

Since 2013, Marlay Park has been home to the Longitude Festival, which takes place on the third weekend of July each year. Marlay Park is a 300 acres suburban public park located in Rathfarnham in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. Lying about 5.5 miles (9 kilometers) from Dublin city center, the parkland comprises woodlands, ponds, and walks.

Mumford & Sons will take to the main stage as Sunday night headliners. The Grammy Award winners will be bringing their Gentlemen of the Road Stopover to Marlay Park, presenting their personally curated Sunday line up of some of today’s biggest new bands, before bringing the night to a close with an unmissable headline performance. The band said…

“This collaboration with Latitude and Longitude is one of the most exciting things we’re doing this year.

Ever since we started working on Gentlemen of The Road Stopovers we’ve really enjoyed curating lineups and sharing not only our own music but also sharing music of artists who we love and are listening to regularly.

It’s almost like creating a mix tape for a best friend, but instead it’s a whole day of music, across multiple stages, with 40,000 people!”

Special acts picked by the band include Baaba Maal, Glass Animals, The Very Best, Jack Garratt, Lucy Rose, HVOB with Winston Marshall, Gill Landry, and more. See the full lineup here.
